Environment 101: What's meat got to do with it?

This short video highlighted by Compassion in World Farming in 2008 gives an excellent if high level overview of the issues presented by livestock production, including its effect on our global water supply and contribution to devastation of the rainforest.

For those insufficiently compelled to consider eating less or (better yet) no meat out of compassion for other living creatures, the facts presented here concerning livestock production's current and future impact on the environment might give pause for thought.
